They're not green. Their skin has a yellow/golden hue to it.

It's probably your monitor settings. Like when I played Oblivion on my old tv, all of the dark elves looked as green as orcs. When I drew them like that and posted my drawing online, people were like "WTF? Dark elves aren't supposed to be bright green."

There are some lighting situations that mess up how characters seem colored. Sometimes washing out most of the color.

Other than that you might want to adjust the color settings of your monitor.

He looks yellow enough to me.

As said, you might want to calibrate your monitor.

I can vouch for this. My old orc looked light grey, dark green, or sometimes even brown, depending on lighting.

From your screenshot, though, I think it is either your perception or your monitor settings...his skin looks like the usual altmer gold.

For a minute there I thought you where going to pull some kind of joke about re-cycling!

Back on track - character in those pictures looks yellow with a hint of green to me! More yellow though - just a dark yellow rather than a bright yellow.

Skyrim seems like it employs some pretty heavy color correction in dim, uniformly-lit areas to be honest.

But that's not green. I have Pantone swatches.

Yeah, that's what they most look like. Not green as hulk. But an light-green.

I'm with everyone else here. They have gold skin, as they should. On my monitor, they certainly aren't green.

It depends on the lighting. They sometimes have a dull green tint. But that is a natural part of many metallic colors like copper.

Both your pictures are just one black square.
You should apply ample light next time.
But Altmer have a golden/ yellow skintone. Or at least, thats how they are described. In-game theyre usually yellow.

Open image editor, pick eye dropper tool, sample High Elf skin, check colour's hex code. It's definitely yellow.

Either recalibrate your monitor, or you're seeing an optical illusion. Ancano does look a little green to me in the above screens, but every part of his skin I sample is some sort of yellow.
