Are there Thalmor inside the Aldmeri Dominion that hates the

So, i don't know but after i remind the green face of Ancano (on my game they look green, lol). I remind that he was
Spoiler
faking his indenty to make the College to think that he was a good guy
But no, he isn't. Than i instantly imagined, there are some High Elfs on Skyrim that are good guys, and also there's an High elf that i found, that fought on the Great war, but doesn't work to the Thalmor anymore. So i ask, there are any High Elf inside the Aldmeri Dominion territory that hates their governement? Or they just want all the people of Nirn dead? Or like in some games, there are alot of of High Elfs agaisn't their governement?

-this-, and i imagine the opposition is rather large in the summerset isles, just very underground.

Thalmor are the people who believe in the Almeri Dominion, basically. Not all high-elves are thalmor at all.

But, that hates soo much their governement that creates an terrorist faction to atack their own governement. That i would like to see in a Thalmor DLC.

i'd prefer if we hadn't used that anology, but it is not too far-off regarding religious prosecution. I may think there could be some who oppose certain goals guess, and maybe even spies are in the Thalmor rankings. P.S. this should be in the lore section.

First of all, comparing anything in TES with the real world is over simplifying things, so please don't. More to the point, there re probably Altmer who hate the Thalmor, there are probably those that actively oppose them... To the point of actually open rebellion? I don't think so, not yet at least. But who knows what can come.

You also have to remember that the Thalmor for the last 200 years (give or take a few) have been racial cleansing their own population, killing those that oppose them inside of Summerset and even the entire dominion... It is very likely that a great deal of the Altmer who are still around, are indoctrined by this behaviour. So the question is, are all of them? No, most of them? Probably.

I have a High Elf Character that I play as a Stormcloak, as he was captured deserting, not because of any personal political views, just because its another playthrough story that I kinda liked

No, there is no dissent in the Soviet Union Aldmeri Dominion. Why would they? Altmerist-realist text indicates that it rains gumdrops and the rivers are made of chocolate.

My understanding is that the Thalmor is the ruling party. In other words, they ARE the government. Now, not all High Elves are Thalmor, so you probably do get high elves that don't agree with the Thalmor.

Didn't the dominion "purge" political dissenters.... Wouldn't that imply that the answer is, no?

high elves are supposedly higly intelligent and educated. enlighted people are usually the first to seek dialogue and peaceful resolutions. so probably the thalmor are the bully part of summerset, the violent ones that make a big fuss and manage to outcry the massive but passive part of their population. my personal opinion is that the thalmor rule because the population allow them and maybe fear them. this is great material for quality content expansions, and i would love to see this as an expansion given that i do not really like to use third party content. just my 50 cent

If you listen to the conversations in the Embassy building, you'll overhear some guards (the ones in the light elven) ranting on about how they aren't treated with the same respect as the full on magic users or something. That's the only thing I've experienced similar to what you're asking, though.

I'm guessing you mean are there Altmer (high Elves) that hate the Thalmor? Thalmor I think is just the name for the government who are in power.

Then yes I reckon there must be. There is certainly Bosmer who hate the Thalmor as there is one in the game (Valenwood along with Sumerset Isles is also part of the Aldmeri Dominion)

The Thalmor is the government so your basically asking are there Thalmor inside the Thalmor that hate the Thalmor.

The book series The Rising Threat, details an Altmer who was trying to undermined, stop and warn about the Thalmor's rise to power.

There are lots of Altmers who seek the guidance of the Psijic Order instead of the Thalmors. Thalmor is simply a warrior/commanding government of the Aldemeri Dominion. Don't forget, it is entirely possible that even the psijic order is made up of only the Altmer race as well, who just aren't as politically motivated as the Thalmors. You could compare Thalmors to the Stormcloaks and the Psijic order to the Greybeards.

The Psijic order does not exist entirely out of Altmer. We even see non Altmer Psijics in the game. The order then has always been about teaching of magic to those talented enough to manage it, a select few individuals. But it was never based on race, there have been Dunmer in there, Bretons, High Elves, hell even a Nord once tried to join (but he didn't make it). We don't know much of the order in recent years, but they do not exist solely out of Altmer.

Yeah, on the college, when you
Spoiler
Kill Ancano 3 members of the Order shows up. 2 High Elfs and 1 Bosmer. Maybe they are only made of elfs? Probaly, because of their lifetime.

The island was hidden for a long time, the last time that happened most of the members that came out were either elves or powerful mages. Bretons, Imperials, Dunmer, Khajiit hell even Nords and Orcs (plus all the others I didn't mention) can become incredibly powerful mages capable of living for thousands of years. Most likely however that after being in hiding for 200 years most of the living members wil still be elves.
