Needed : Awkward moments with the wife and followers

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:15 pm

I would love for them to add the much needed awkward dialogue that
would/should happen between your in game wife and followers.

First time after I got married (to Yolda ? the woman in Whiterun), I come
back to the Breezehome with Lydia, and I'm all but expecting to hear.

"Well, well, where have you been, and who is THIS ?"

Even better after you change followers, like one housecarl to another,
I switched from Lydia to Iona from Riften, go back to Breezhome and
there's Yolda, AND Lydia waiting for me, and me with another woman
in tow ! I would think I would have some explaining to do.

The first time it happened all I could think was "Man this is awkward......"

I expected Lydia to jump and go "Who this ? And why is she wearing MY Ebony armor ?"

Jeeze, think I've been playing a little too much........

There is a bug where if you have a Follower and initiate the marriage thing with someone else, the game basically breaks... maybe that`s the awkward moment...

Haha, and just imagine if your new wife was unable to bear a child for you, the Thane of Whiterun.

*you look at Lydia*

*Lydia shrugs*

Lydia: "I'm sworn to carry your burdens."

You: "Sorry honey, but I need an heir."

Wife: ...

Yea. I had to go way back on an old save to before the time, dismiss my Follower and then it worked. I lost a good few hours of time with that one.

Well in that 'awkward' moment I was the one who was wondering why the hell HE was in MY house with MY wife lol.
You know in Riverwood you have to do that side quest with Faendal and Sven fighting over Camilla.
I decided to pick Faendals side But I ended up marrying her >:-) .
And then one day I come home in Whiterun and I see Faendal in my home with Camilla ??
And all I was wondering was aren't you a lil too far away from home now ???

Have you tried coming home as a vampire... It's like getting married was all for nothing.

(Continuing on the child joke)

Me: "Aela, I need you to have my child."

Aela: "But how will I ever still fit into my skimpy leather armor!?"

You just won the internet lottery, sir.

As for ACTUAL awkward moments in game, my main character (Redguard Agent) was fighting alongside Lydia when she cries out "Skyrim is for the Nords!" I couldn't help but think "Um, Lydia? I'm not a Nord and I'm not from Skyrim..."
