Need Advice on Class

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:22 am

Ok, played oblivion/morrowind/skyrim.....and i never got into the whole magic using exception of restoration. So my knowledge is a bit limited on magic BUT i am gonna try out a new class and need help with advice.

K pretty much im gonna play as a vampire assassin BUT i was thinking about focusing into conjuration for the bound weapons and maybe alteration for the mage armor.
so soem questions, ok about the whole conjuration part. The bound weapons do they change in looks and damage as u lvl up conjuration? Also since im a vampire going with the necromacy perk and wondered if that would also affect the bound wepon? Not gonna be summoning elementals, just maybe raise a temporary corspe here and there but nothing permanent. Since im gonna be using the bound weapons, will i also need to put points into onehanded and archery perks to up the damage?
Also the alteration mage armor, will it affect and stack with other mage armors or will it just be replaced with whatever is cast last or stronger? Also will it stack if u are using armor?

and as far as onehanded and archery perks, didnt knwo if the dmg increase or the decapitation would also affect the bound weapons?

once i figure this uestions out, i can figure out what else to spec in. I know restoration, alchemy, sneak, and pickpocket so i can reverse pickpocket poisens lol but wondering if i need to put points into onehanded, smithing, archery etc.

thanks for the advice and information =]

No, they don't change, they always look like transparent daedric weapons. Respective conjuration perks affect the base damage of the conjured weapons. Casting them around enemies increased conjuration, hitting mobs with them increases and uses perks from a respective weapon skill. Raising corpses will be rendered absolete pretty soon since the spells can't raise corpses after a certain specified level.

Mage armor perk makes armor spells work better, it's in the description.

Both conjuration perks and the weapon perks will increase your damage and finishers available for that weapon. Mage armor does make the aleration spells give more armor, but you can't use it if your are wearing any kind of armor. The necromatic line has stronger spells to work on higher level opponents as you level conjuration, The perks will allow you to use them further away, give them more hitpoints and eventually make it so you can control two at a time, but are not neccessary to cast the higher level spells. If you are going to use them I would equip them in your left hand so you don't lose your bound weapon.

ok, so it looks like as an assassin mage armor is outta the picture but looks like i will be putting points in the onehand tree and prob go with light armor. so gonna skip the alteration and max out conjuration and try to get to lvl 70 in resto for the necromage perk for my vampire....wow thats gonna take a LONG time unless anyoen knows a quicker way than just heling urself with magic for every scrap and bruise..sneaking, pickpocketing, and of course alchemy...mmm dangit i guess if im goign with light armor i better go ahead and go with.....nah screw that ill find soe cool clothes and go the alteration route, save me 2 skill trees, no smithing since i have bound weapons and be using the mage armor.

so with this build im thinking it be beter if i just spread my points out evenly until i get about 200 sta and maybe 300 magic and then throw everything into health afterwards? also anyone know a cool lil outfit?

Besides just buying training, you can grind Restoration by going into a Hall of the Dead with a couple of skeletons, and just keep turning them and watch them run back and forth.

As a vampire I would put in Illusion. With this, one thing you can do is go find something like a sabre cat or bear, and then calm it down. Then hit it and calm it down again. You can summon atronachs each time if you want to practice conjuration, or cast mage armor each time for alteration. Then when it is almost dead, calm it and heal it back up to full health.
