Possible Elder Scrolls MMORPG? : V

There are rumos going around talking about Bethesda working on a possible MMORPG, what does everybody think about this? Is this a wrong move for Bethesda and TES, or will it only grow the series?

I dunno, I have seen rumors over the ownership battle for the Fallout MMO, but I don't think Elder Scrolls lends itself to online play. Those stories have always been about an event and a single hero.

Todd has said that his and his team will never make MMOs. They will only focus on single player games - that's what their best at.

It's very possible that there will be a TES (or Fallout) MMORPG made by some other company within Zenimax, but not BGS.

Whenever Bethesda (not BGS) but Bethesda can no longer rake in sales they will make a MMO with a cheesy sub base and lie to their consumers "we need this sub base model to keep _______ up"

Or Beth just makes a MMO for more money both scenarios will most likely make a mockery of TES.

An MMO would ruin the TES franchise and especially its lore - just look at WoW and the Warcraft RTS games before it.

Sorry about that, I was reading this forum when I heard about it so I was like "I gotta post it!".

What if it wasn't comepletly made into a MMORPG, but just had an optional Co-Op feature?

I would imagine it will still ruin various parts of lore and other things. Having two demi gods going though a dungeon isn't exactly my definition of fun. But it could happen in a future game (not Skyrim well not for everyone anyways)

It would require a complete rewrite of the game code - not something Bethesda is going to do a little over 2 months after release.

Also, some of the Bethesda people have said no, so don't hold your breath waiting for it.
