Hello guys, so I have had Xbox LIVE for around 4 years now, but I am finally ending it, only because it's too much for me and I don't feel the urge to get online anymore...


Do I need LIVE to get Skyrim DLC or any DLC?

I sound like a total idiot for asking, but I never experienced Silver membership, only Gold.

Yes, you need internet to download the DLC and Live to access the store.

Okay, well I have internet Access, but do I need GOLD to download the DLC?

I'm always offline, Bethesda does release the DLC in disk form (see Fallout 3 and Oblivion, thought it is on a delay... You will get it eventually, the DLC disk (not returnable to gamestop, they learned the hard way) or GoTY (which i buy, download, then return or gift)

No you dont need a gold account to purchase any DLC or games on Live. Gold just gives discounts on certain titles as they are offered.

You do not need a gold membership to buy DLC. A silver account will do.
