20 cents an hour...

Well, if I want to get a quest done then I want to get that quest done, and I will fast travel. If I don't wanna get any particular quest done, I will just pick a random direction and raid anything I find along the way. I do the latter fairly often. Still, I've never had a save file exceed that 50-hour mark...
The way I look at it, I don't have a quest log. I have a bunch of things that people have told me they want me to do, and whether they get done or not is determined by whim, whether I happen to be in the neighbourhood ever, and just about the roll of a die. I'm enjoying the exploring, quests and the like can wait 'til I'm bothered.

Meh, played like 20 hours got bored.

Playing BG2 for the.. 10+th time.

So Skyrim wasnt any worse than NHL 2012 value for money wise, but I expected more. Ah well, mods should save it in about 6 months.

113 hours in, and I just started the thieves guild at about 95 hours, still workin on it. I explored every poi that popped up on my compass and have been doin just misc quests till now. Not fast traveling helps. I have not fast traveled in the time ive been playing. Only recently got a mod to make horses realistically fast. Vanilla horses move slow enough for the xbox or PS3 to load the environment lol. They are pathetically slow even compared to oblivions horses. oblivions slowest horse would still be faster. anyway...

lvl 43, just gonna do Dark brotherhood then start a new character.

You must be rushing the missions like mad dude, or do you do literally nothing in between missions just bang mission then straight into another mission, I always travel home to sell me loot, check if there's any better stuff for sale, see what potions the alchemist has now etc.

Heck I would say I've spent 51 hours just exploring all the dialogue options of npc to see what new missions and info they have for me, there's no way you've talked to people or read any books if you've done all that in 51 hours. How do you play missions?, when I'm exploring a cave and I see two ways to go I explore both I don't just explore the route that leads to the objective.

I fast travel everywhere and at 250 hours, if I explored everywhere instead of fast travelling it would be twice that figure. I've not finished any of those quest lines, I'm fascinated by the lore and I enjoy learning about the world I'm paying from its inhabitants, I guess your only interested in the action if your only doing missions.

The thing is, I do all those things. Every time my inventory is full (which is after each dungeon) I go to Whiterun to sell excess loot, check the merchants, train my Smithing and Enchanting and sometimes go on a thief raid across the town, as well as decorate my house with anything cool I can find and storeing the rest. Then when I have run out of interesting quest I pick a random direction and just go till I'm bored of raiding caves and giant camps... But the savefiles will not go over 50hours per character, max... In the last characters, that I stopped doing most questlines, I reach my limit at like 30-ish or below...

Previous TES games kept me playing them way longer than Skyrim will for me. But hey, your a new commer to TES games so naturally your happy, but as for players who has seen and expirienced alot of good things in previous TES games and now the latest TES game is less of a game when compeared to previous titles...how can one not complain ?

That I say that it's worth the full price, but I can name multiple games that has less replay value but I still would preffer them over Skyrim.

yes i'm saddened they didn't take into account the direction that morrowinds was going which started this franchise. I feel the story in skyrim is so limited in comparison. Its lacking what made morrowind so interesting. I feel that every quest and thing I do in skyrim is the same. There are not so many factions as there are in morrowind plus the huge amount of content and work that went into that game is drastically unappreciated. For a game to achieve so much with the limitted technology of the time. There is something to be said with how much more effort went into the story, than the overall playability. Why is TES going downhill?
