insurance, dlc idea?

How much do you think the cost of housing insurance went up when dragons returned to Skyrim? I think this is a bigger threat to Skyrim than the relatively weak dragons themselves as those houses made of wood are a real liability. No wonder there are hardly any people wandering round. Maybe in the DLC you could run an insurance company or something and work out ways to protect the towns eg sentries or employ guards and offer them great weapons.

Why would you want to protect them ? I'd rather create contruction company and build them a new wooden cottage and let it burn down again by a dragon and now they have to pay me again to build it back up ! I can profit so much more.

Yeah the possibilities are endless. Skyrim would be so much more addictive if they gave the player some sort of management, where he could just admire his handywork every time he visted a city to go sell some weapons etc.

So we would just call this ''Company DLC'' :D

''Create your own company, whetever it's a steel mill, private military, group of assassins or a freaking cow farm, you can do it and manage it the way you want ! Shape the village economy and rival against other companies, including radiant sabotage missions and more ! What are you waiting for, order now and get a new companion who gives you investment advice ! Only 13,99 (including shipping !)''

Off topic, sorry about that, but I can't see 'dlc' written anywhere without feeling a compulsion to write 'Llesweyr'.

Anyway, OT, the much-touted, before release, economy appears to be absent (subject to confirmation?). Surely some system would have to be in place at all before expanding on it.
And protecting the towns. That is, far beyond anything else, exactly what Jarls are for.

Cool idea... though I really don't see a DLC written on it... maybe a mod or the next installment.

On a serious note, I wouldn't mind DLC that allows you to create something. Like the East Empire Trading Guild in Bloodmoon. They allowed you to build up a colony and each quest had to do with construction issues. Eventually a great new village/town was build up out of nothing.

For example I think Winterhold could definatly use help with rebuilding the town. It really is the saddest excuse for a hold's capital in the game.

Yeah something like that would be fun. But just as someone all ready pointed out, we will most likely not see this as DLC, but as a user mod.

Only if we can have tax form shouts

FETCH-ME- W 18's!!!

and the whole dlc is a minigame where you fill out paper work at your desk, working from lowly accountant all the way to regional branch sales coordinating associate, complete with suit, tie, briefcase, Reserved Horse Parking and a Mr. Kiin office door stamp
