Decoration Issues

So I found a statue of Dibella and thought it would be nice to have a golden statue of a naked girl next to my bed.

I put it down, grabbed it, moved to where I wanted it to be. Left the house, came back, and sure enough, the statue is laying on its side where I dropped it. Same thing happened pretty much to every piece of junk I tried to place in the house (assorted dwemer trinkets, butterfly jars, etc). This isn't the case of "spontaneous Havoc Physics freakout" where you bump an object and it flies across the room like a missile. The game seems adamant about returning the dropped miscellaneous items to the original location and position where they were dropped, rather than where I placed them.

What gives? Is there any way to fix that (console commands perhaps?).

What I find to sometimes work is if you just drop it on the ground, leave the house, re-enter the house, and only then try to move the object to where you want. Not for everything though , like the Honningbrew decanter and that dragon burial map; both items eventually fall through whatever surface I ever put them on.

It only happens once. Drop all your crap, leave the house re-enter then do not pick them up.. just grab them and place them where ever you wish. Should work.

Annoying though aye?
