Basically Mara gives you the kind of love your mother gives you whereas Dibella gives you the kind of love your girlfriend gives you (in bed).

I thought Dibella had more in common with Sanguine. And it's not just about love and six, but simple pleasures in life, art, etc.. Sanguine is about the same things, but more along the lines of a rockstar, hedonistic sense.

Mara is the patron of virtuous love, you know, fairy tale love, unicorns and white knights (nerd love)
Dibella is the patron of beauty and lovemaking, not necessarily debauchery (cheerleader love)

What I was getting to is that she's kind of a patron of bards or something. Art, culture, comfort, etc.. six probably falls under the large category of comfort. I suppose she's a lot like Aphrodite. While Mara is more like Mary in the Christian mythos.
