The 1st person view

Is it just me or there is too much zoom in by default when I'm playing in 1st person? While using the sprint button there is a little zoom out that I find more natural and wish it was the default zoom.

I love 1st person. I know you can widen the view slightly if you want if you`re on PC.

Press the map button. Now that's what I call zooming out.

You can set the field of view (FOV) in the ini files as well as by console. It can be as high as 180° (fisheye), but 90° seems much more natural on a PC (that's actually the normal FOV of a human eye), but if you are sitting back from a TV you'd want it narrower.

Low FOV has been bane of console ports since forever. Press tilde, type in fov xx, done.

xx depends on your preference and aspect ratio, if you're on 16:10 or 16:9 you'll probably want 90.

Yeah, I find the stock FOV to be so narrow it induces movement related nausea. ~ FOV 100 is my friend. Makes spotting badguys (flying dragons especially) much easier, too.
