Been asked a ton before.

But it seems that fast travelling forces more dragon encounters. I walk everywhere and only ever seem to encounter dragons at dragon lairs. Maybe something wrong with my game though, I'm not overly sure. Cos they don't appear when I FT either. Who knows the real truth. But from what has been observed, the aforementioned is true.

I agree. After a point, constant dragon battles get a bit annoying. It's not so much the time it takes to fight them, or that I get killed often, it's that I'm always reloading because my FOLLOWERS get dragonbagged.

Hmmmm... doesn't happen to me. Not by fast traveling at least.
I do know that for me... there is always a dragon flying by, swoooshing over my head after I come out of a dungeon or something. Is now that every time I exit... I remain in sneak mode and search the skies... and sure enough, there be dragons.

I think it is to remind you of the purpose of the Dragonbourne, for when you sorta just focus on the other quests and side quests and such.... just to remind you of what you are really there for.

i like it.

hopefully, the %'s increase for all types of bad things to POSSIBLY happen when fast travel is used.

don't like the length of going from a to b, then, deal with this!

if i want to unlock a shout and/or absorb a soul right now i know how i can increase the chances of doing it.

I've had it worse. My wife (Ysolda) wouldn't let me sleep or in my own home, it said i was "Trespassing". I left my home, bought a new one, fast travelled back, my wife was eaten and thrown, by a dragon, into a small pond full of Mudcrabs. Once I finnished off the dragon, I was attacked by an assassin. Who could possibly Hate me this much?

Easy to fix - DONT fast travel if it bugs you. But I think it likely has to do with random spawning when you fast travel vs. walking.

When you walk/run/ride you enter the cell you are heading to from the cell beside of it. When you fast travel it teleports you into the cell to the destination map marker.

Maybe it's stalking you and wants to take you to the local shrine of Mara ,get hitched to you then whisk you away to its mountaintop hideout for a week of passion... or maybe not D: , just don't fast travel everywhere , go buy a horse :P

It's obvious one of the guys from Bethesda who loves morrowind coded dragon attacks for people who use fast travel as punishment for not being awesome. Fast travel takes you away from the world... kind of like levitation, except levitation was in Morrowind therefore is immune to criticism.

I don't notice any particularly high rate of dragons spawning after fast travel in my game. But they do like to spawn when I leave a city with annoying frequency. I usually then go back to the city and wait a couple hours before I go out again, otherwise the damn dragon often kills lots of NPCs from nearby farms or stables.

Even when I walk I see dragon after dragon, fast travelling makes it slightly worse but it is still bad just walking around for me
