Oh Nazeem you brought it ap

Alas Nazeem is no more, he had a pretty condescending tone so I snipped him with a fury ball from the shadows an the whole town ganged up on him. Then I looted him and left his naked corpse laying in the middle of the market.

The worst part is the guy lives in an inn with nothing of value inside his room, and he's carrying a key to a mansion that doesn't even exist.

Killing him is putting him out of his misery in a way

That's actually quite sad. Poor guy just wants to feel like he belongs, like he fits in with the people who always put him down.

I can imagine him waking up in the morning putting on his fine clothes knowing deep inside that it's all really a lie, and i can imagine him breaking down and crying in his cheap inn room while he clutches that key in his hand that signifies the life he leads, a life that really is just a lie. But does it matter? Does it really? He is a video game character and i'm sure he knows it.

Edit: Question is, does that key lead to an imaginary mansion? Or maybe it leads to his true self and he need to accept what never will be?

An interesting perspective. Perhaps this individual is more complex than we originally imagined. Has anyone thought of simply giving him a hug, or perhaps collecting some money from the Whiterun citizenry to buy him a house he can call his own?

this opened my eyes to something, something about a man who will never truly live...

He does turn up in one quest if you keep him around--
Spoiler
He gets kidnapped by a hagraven and the Companions send you out to rescue him ... and of course you could just fail that mission and let the hagraven keep him.

That's radiant quest mate. Can happen with many NPC's in many locations. :)
Mine was Sven, stuck in Shimmermist Cave. (I think it's called)

I think that key is awesome. I don't know if Beth put this in on purpose to show how much of a lie Nazeem is or it's just poor programming and they didn't have time to put his mansion in the game. Probably the later...
