If the Shout Timer only effected the shout you cast and not

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:15 pm

what combination of shouts would you cast

what si currently you cast a shout like storm wall and that prevent you from castign any other shout

what it shoudl of been is if you cast storm wall you wouldnt be able to cast that particular shout for 600 seconds but you could follow that up with FUS RO DAH or slow time instead and then folow those up with another shout maybe to a maximum of 4 shouts before being shout locked

I agree with you for once.

It would make some of the less useful shouts more viable in combat situations.

It would need some major rebalancing though. Else I'll be doing :
- FUS ROH DA
- Fire Breath
- Ice Form
- wait for breath shouts to be off CD
- Fire Breath
- Ethereal Form
- wait for breath shouts to be off CD
- Fire Breath
- repeat at FUS ROH DA until victory

It's like the difference between ME & ME2, except there we're talking about your main character powers. If they did this the timers would need to be longer. But you would end up using shouts constantly, I don't think that's how Beth envisaged the character system.

Slow time + force push. That would look so nice.

Although I agree that it's annoying to have to wait for your Shout cooldown to expire, I am glad they're present. Otherwise they wouldn't be a need for me to carry a weapon around... I could just constantly yell at someone to win.

Wished that was the way in real life. My wife would know better than to get in a shouting match with me over computer upgrades.

Well, it would be powerful, but remember that shouts don't skill anything up, so you would never level up again once you started doing "all shouts" combat...

This can help you to use shouts more often. Put these on, amulet of talos and get blessing of talos and there is no cooldown :)

Do you have the Greybeards robe, hood and shoes? each one of them reduces 20% and blessing and the amulet 20%. Works for me :)

The text is bugged on that amulet. It's not taking in account percentages (or in this case decimals) under 1.00

It may not say it, but you are actually getting a 20% cooldown reduction (aka 0.20... hence the 0)

At least that's what I was told. Someone will more then likely elaborate much better than I can on this issue.

The amulet shows 20% cooldown and gives it. Blessing of talos shows 0% but gives you 20% cooldown.

Yeah, that one... what he said.

Side note: I really need to stop posting in a forum after working 14hr shifts.
