How do you make the save files use your character's name (on

I've got a few different characters going (I'm playing XBox 360), and for all but one the save names are just the location, followed by a number; I have to select the save to see which character it is.

However, one for one of the characters, they are all named using the characters name, followed by a number... only I have no idea how I made it do that :ermm: It certainly makes it easier when looking over my saves, though, I can instantly tell what those are without having to check.

How exactly to you get it to save that way? Also, is there any way to rename the saves? Thanks!

On consoles you can't, if you were playing on the pc you would be able to use the command console to accomplish this.

Well, there's definitely a way to at least have the saves include your character's name... even if it's a glitch that I could never reproduce, haha.

LOLWUT? in the 360 your char name is stated in the savegame description, together with the location, play time and date

Every Xbox save has a Preview Panel, the Name of your Character, Race, Level and playing time. Do you really need more?

If you have about 300 saves, then yes. Having to scroll through all of them and wait for the preview to load to find a character isn't fun.

Well, no. And I do. But I'm just damned careful not to write over my other chaacters.

The same as I was with Oblivion.

what this game really could do with is a character manager. You switch "profiles" per character, but it remembers the last one you loaded so it isn't inconvenient, and keeps the character saves seperate.

I do wish naming saves was a feature, even on the PC.

Most screen shots don't tell me too much about who the character is, just where I saved it. The system that I think works best for me is to have my character looking at something specific when saving for the last time that session. LIke have them look at an alchemist sign, or another character looks at a blacksmiths grinding wheel. Even though I have to wait to see the Screenshot, it makes selecting the character that I want that much easier.

Save your latest character save into cloud. What way if you have 5 characters you go into cloud and pick from one of the 5 character saved that will be there.

Right, but I was talking about the actual name of the save, so that you can look at the list and tell which character it is.

If anyone cares, I figured it out... if you put a comma in your character's name, the save name will be everything after the comma.

I had an Orc named Ghom, Son of Frow... so all his saves are listed as "Son of Frow"

I started a new High Elf to check, and named him Kel, Mage of Summerset... his saves show up "Mage of Summerset"

Finally, I made an Argonian and just named him ", Bob"... sure enough, her saves are all named "Bob" (followed by the location & I assume number... can't see the whole thing)

...So, just a tip, if you want your savegame names to differentiate between your characters, put a comma in there, followed by something to identify the savegame.

Oh man that is AWESOME! And kudos for ', Bob'. Made me smile. :)
