How powerful are werewolves?

In the season 2 premiere of Being Human, a woman with lycanthropy changed for the first time and killed a 1000 year old vampire. Not the same lore as Elder Scrolls but still bada$$.

Nora kicked Haggeman's ass! I loved that scene! Badass.

Spoiler
The neck bite reminded me so much of Skyrim

But in the game, werewolves are stronger than most bandits. At least when you get to level 20 and fight smaller leveled enemies. But as you progress, the PC werewolf gets weaker.

They are pretty strong, But weak at the sametime, They put out massive damage, but cant really take any. If you are good with it though, You can clear out small groups of enemies with ease though, It is worth it.

Its incredibly powerful, if you use it right. Its roar ability will make you near untouchable, and its massive swipe/toss enemies ability is perfect. But you have to be skilled, and not expect to be a god damned invincible hulkin beast with arrows bouncing off of your fur hairs. IT takes skill.

Basically, Lycanthropy is a travel form you can use to run places quickly and it has a bonus of being immune to disease so you don't have to worry about becoming a Vampire which is just - bad. Human form is far superior in every way, shape, and form.

More than enough to take down a couple of polar bears. Problems arise with anything tougher then that though. I've found that being a werewolf is best for traveling if you don't fast travel or use a horse.
Edit: it is funny to watch a bear go flying from a hard swipe.

as someone said, if used properly it's amazing. certain quests where you don't have your belongings in your inventory the form can come in very handy.

you don't really lose anything except rested bonuses once you're a werewolf.

I like being Human but I thought Haggeman died too easily and i thought the character still had things to explore. I keep hoping he survived.

I feel pretty badass as a werewolf in Skyrim but you have to be very aggressive and maintain your upper hand.

Depends on how you play.
If you play smart, pretty good.
If you play reckless, pretty-.. uh. Fair?

it's powerful at early level when you fight weak enemies. it becomes kinda useless around lvl20-25 when enemies get stronger. still the diseases immunity is always good

Can be weak when you are one, you have to use them at the right times and places.
Now, if you get jumped by a couple of high level ones out in the woods you are in for a nasty surprise on the other hand.

I agree. But it would have been better to see less damage done by ordinary weapons and getting quickly whipped by silver ones. To me, there's not a lot of diference.

When I first jumped into Lycanthropy my hide got used for a bandit door mat. Now I keep alive (with a lot of skill) and bandits get used as wallpaper.

Maybe it's not what we expect when we think of TV/Movie type werewolves. These are Beth-wolves.

^^ This, turning into a werewolf to fight is nerfing yourself unless youa re very low level. Lycanthropy is good for disease resistance and running away quickly.

people talking about skill? I don't see it myself. Just spam howl, pounce and eat people. Howl also interrupts the eating animation so if you're getting attacked you can just howl and run after them. Not challenging at all, but I like that. I want to be a beast as a werewolf, not a carefully balanced temporary class.

it has its strengths and weaknesses. you have to then practice to become skilled because you're not just going to destroy everything in your path with a flurry of claws.

fast, agile, sprint, howl, toss are all great attributes.

get the ring and then practice. at first, i was going ape because it was so weak, but, after some training it's become fun.

In early game being a werewolf as semi-useful, but by the time you hit around 20's to mid 30's it was useless. Reach an even higher level than that and turning into a werewolf in battle was as good as a death wish. Only thing good about it was the disease immunity and for any RP purposes.

Ended up curing my character's werewolfness and going vampire instead. Since despite a vampire's weaknesses at least the benefits of being one stack and are still useful at the higher levels.

Well... if this is a discussion of comparisons from multiple sources (i.e. using a tv show's version/interpretation and usage) then the argument is like saying who's better...Superman or Mighty Mouse?

As far as the Skyrim Werewolf.... think the others summed it up.... BUT you do have to remember that Cicero whooped up on one as much as he got... and he was a frackin clown/jester.

I think werewolves need their own skills and Perk tree. The more you use it, the more powerful you become (and as you level up, you get better melee skills, damage resistance, more elaborate takedowns, night vision, life detection). Once I get past the lower levels, I almost never use it but I keep it for the 100% disease resistance perk.
