This has happened to me both times I've tried to use a pickpocketing potion - the non-gold items get easier but I get a much worse chance of stealing their gold (even worse than whatever percentage the potion increased the skill by...a 30% potion took gold from a 14% to a 6%)

Is this a known effect for anyone else?
