Who roleplays as an ordinary joe?

On my most recent character, I made a female imperial with nothing special about her at all, shes just an oridinary woman who came to skyrim to find a new place to live.
I did the main quest up intil jarl balgruuth asked me to go into a ancient tomb to get a stone tablet, to which she refused, saying shes not experianced or comfortable with delving into a ancient tomb. Instead she just took a cariage to solitude and met a man sorex vinius, and they fell in love and got married. She now lives in his inn with him getting a cut of the profits the inn makes. usually she just wanders around solitude and buys food to bring home and prepare for her husband. She goes to radiant ranment alot because she befriended the high elves their, and has a very boring common life, she doesint adventure, and very rarely leaves the city.
For this character i have the difficulty set to very high, because why would a common woman be able to survive any battles?
Does anyone else ever play a character like this who does no adventuring and chose a town to settle in and have an honest career like wood cutting or smithing?

I did something like that on my guard RP. I was planning on making a average joe warrior though.

That's all I do now since I've done the main quest more than enough times.

Now when I start a new character, I use a generic save file where no quests or locations have been added to my journal/map, teleport my character to where I want him/her to start, maybe give them a few items (or not), and just start a mundane life of working at the mill, forge, or whatever. I love not having that stress of being the Dragonborn weighing on my shoulders.

I haven't touched the MQ yet and don't plan on doing it anytime soon. So I guess I am roleplaying as a oridinary joe adventurer.

If you think about it, the ordinary joe of Skyrim is an NPC with very low AI.

So role-playing as an ordinary joe would be getting stuck on the character creation screen.

That happens quite often.

Sounds like fun, I have never done that I like adventuring to much.
I might try a character like that.

It's hard to do because all of the guild questlines are designed to be epic unlike in Oblivion and Morrowind where you could stay in the lower levels and do more mundane quests.

Although Skyrim offers alot of mundane stuff to do, its certainly not a simulation of life. The idea of using swords to kill, magic, stealth, etc is to give you activities that youd never be able to do in real life. I dont see any fun in turning down even the most basic of quests and wandering around a world thats built for questing and adventure. Bizzarre
