Temptation to start a new game with a different race?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:51 pm

Does anyone here have that urge to play a different race all of a sudden? for example: you play as an Orc and despite your character looking badass you suddenly after awhile want to play as a different race

Ah here is a DLC idea: "A mage from a foreign country comes to Skyrim to talk about his astounding break through and he goes on saying "I have found a way to make you look different, tired of being chase by bounty hunters,or the city guard well have no fear that all changes today" and it is reveal that he has a steep knowledge in Alchemy and Necromancy and so he asks for a volunteer person goes in and later walks out as a different race

then we find out that this mages altmer race is not strange coincidence but rather a plot for the thalmor to commit genocide.

All the time. Each Elder Scrolls game I've played I always play several different times with a different race.

So far with Skyrim, I've been a Nord, then an Altmer, now I've just started a new character as a Bosmer.

That happened to me on my first two characters. Then, I made an Argonian warrior and haven't felt the need to make a new character of a different race since.

Even though I love my Argonians, I like to try some other races as well :)

I know something like that excisted in Fallout 3 (near a mutant camp).
So, I was hoping for something alike in this game, allas... I hope they add it in a DLC or expansion.

Hmm, where can I suggest this? Anyone?

I have played nord, imperial, redguard, orc and dunmer, but I have no urge to play another race at the moment.

i always only like playing as one character, so ill make an argonian then delete him after many many hours of playing him start a khajiit then do the same and start argonian ect lol.

though this last khajiit i've made i have managed to stick with him for quite some time now..

I played a male Nord but didn't like my hair choice but kept with him for 192 hours. I then tried various heroes and heroine putting in many hours, some around 30 and 50 till I found a male High Elf I liked, this guy is way cool looking compared to the Nord. High Elves make the Nords look like 5 footers.

I've always wanted to play as a Khajiit, but then I'd have to make another thief/assassin style character, which I'm not bothered to. My next playthrough though, will probably be a redguard.

Can't say I do. Argonians are what got me into TES in the first place. Without the beast races the Elder Scrolls is just another generic classic RPG with boring humans, orcs and elves. Been there, seen it.

Had plenty of characters thus far:
1) Nord
2) Altmer
3) Altmer
4) Imperial
5) Redguard
6) Nord

None are above level 30 but none are below 15. None have over 30 hours but none have less than 15.

Number six became my primary character, but I grew bored when I joined the Stormcloaks, a decision i regretted greatly.
Just restarted my Redguard, I had forgotten that I had a good thing going.
My first Nord I picked up again as well, complete with six change surgery (Female to Male) and using console commands to remove my Two Handed and replace it with One Handed + Block.

The Imperial I played a lot until I made 6, who was the same class (sneak archer) but with better strategies and enchanting. Tried rebooting my Imperial but I'm just too bored over it, annoyed by the overwhelming weakness.

Oh yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. I always feel a very strong temptation to start over with a different race and also make different choices too. Very addicting for me. Orcs I have to say are my overall favorite race to play as though.
