Found a Beta Download is this Legit?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:28 am

I want to download a demo version to see if I like the game before I buy it (learned my lesson with Rift.) I found a site (skyrim. zxq. net /beta) that says I can download a beta copy. However I have to fill in a questionaire and I have a feeling sign up for something like Turbo Tax first. This makes me nervous. Either let me try the game or don't, but filling out questionaires for other products strikes me having the potential to be one of those sites your mother warned you about.

Does any one here know if this is legitimate? Can I get a demo copy to try first, or a beta as this site promises. I see places to download the game and crack into it, but I don't want to do anything illegal. I just want to test drive it first.

Thanks.

You can only get the beta through steam as far as I'm aware. When you're asked about questionaires it's usually time to close the tab.

If it's not from an official site, it's malware/piracy/etc.

Download stuff like Betas ONLY from official sites.
Do NOT download this thing, whatever it is.

It's not legit, chances are this 'beta' is a pirate copy of the game with some malware tossed in for good measure. It wouldn't surprise me if it was also a phishing site.

There is no demo of the game, although you could pick up TES IV Oblivion or TES III Morrowind to get a taste of the genre. FO3 is also an open world RPG by Bethesda Game Studios, although it has a different setting, character system, and focus.
