Posing for Screenshots

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:05 pm

Hi Folks!

Has anyone figured out what the command codes are for posing and screenshots?

I tried "TFIK" > "TFC" > "Player.playidle S000"> "TM" > to no avail. Can anyone assist? Thank you.

Holding down F is all I know. There is a console command that sets the camera at a given position, but I haven't tried it.

Usually it's replacing one animation with another (idle) animation. So, say, replace sneak with crossed-arms animation...

Then use tfc 1 to freeze in time and get a good angle.

Adjust fov if necessary to increase detail or distance.

Toggle menu off with tm.

And last, if desired, open up character menu while menu is toggled off for some neat blur effect. :)

About the only console codes I use are:

tfc 1
fov 40
tm

Then when the pics are done use

tfc 1
fov
tm

and you are back to playing normal.

Note the fov 40 (or 20) make a world of difference.

tfc works for me. I use it to get shots of my guy holding a weapon all the time.

tm - toggle menu, hides the hud and menus
tfc - toggles the camera, switch to 3rd person view, then use this if you want to move the camera freely (with standard controls)
tfc 1 - toggles the camera and freezes everything, type plain 'tfc' to go back to normal
fov ## - field of view, useful for changing the first-person view to be appropriate for your monitor & resolution (can set it permanently in the ini), values up to 90 might be reasonable, around there you start to get a fishbowl effect

Note that you have to be in 3rd person or your character won't render.

You don't have to use F, sheating in your weapon and just moving the camera will also let you see your character from up front.

Outstanding. Thank you. I will try it ASAP.
