I want to be able to keep track of my followers

Other than my housecarls, I can never keep track of where my followers are. I don't like that I can never find them if I don't remember who and where they are. I thought rather than having them somewhere that you can't remember, they should be able to be located on your map. You should be able to go to a section in your start screen, under your quests perhaps where there is a list of all of the people that will follow you. There, you should be able to mark them on your map like you do with quests. Either that or you should be able to have them move in with you. Does anyone share my opinion or have other suggestions?

They will be where you first encountered them. If they are a housecarl, they will be at the appropriate house. If they are a mercenary, they will be at the tavern your first recruited them...same same for everyone else.

However, for those who get confused, a system similar to Mount and Blade Warband, where gossips and travellers could tell you where they are would be handy (but in Warband your dismissed companions/followers used to wander around the countryside, so they could litterally end up anywhere).

I want all my followers to guard the fort I staked out for my own. CK can't come soon enough.

I understand that they're always where you first encountered them, I'm just saying that it would be really nice to have a feature that shows you where the followers that you've already found are located.

They added a marker on the map to tell you where you follower is for New Vegas, I liked that as I tended to Fast Travel after I tell them to wait.

Why not try writing things down?

I've played RPGs for many years and back in the old days there was no journal built into the game so you had to take notes. I still do this, especially as I don't think that the Skyrim "journal" system is very good.
