As someone that owns skyrim on PS3 i find it very dishonest that gaming websites give the ps3 and xbox version the exact same(usually perfect) score. Even with the lag on PS3 most review sites are saying that they are keeping skyrim on ps3 a 10/10 because despite the lag and glitches skyrim is an excellent blah blah blah blah....What they need to say is. We are keeping Skyrim on ps3 a 10/10 because we actually didnt play it and we based our review on the xbox version. Changing our score would only reveal the fact that we gave a product a 10/10 without having ever had the actual product in our hands. Is it the same game as xbox and pc? yes. is it the same product? Not even close. All these gaming websites like IGN want bethesda to fix this game for ps3. You know why? Because these sites gave this game a super high score and it wasnt true. They are not allowed to change their review score now and if beth doesnt fix it it will undermine there journalistic integrity because anyone that sees 10/10 for skyrim on ps3 will never trust a review from them again.I dont usually pay to much attention to reviews because it is jsut someones opinion but they are a good way to skim for information because they usually mention things like a A SUB 30FPS FRAMERATE CONSTANT CRASHING AND AN IMMEDIATE NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN GRAPHICAL QUALITY BETWEEN THE TWO CONSOLES IT WAS RELEASES ON!
I was going to get this game on xbox first but after reading that bethesda said PS3 got special attention and checking review scores where skyrim on both systems got the exact same score despite quality noticeably difference. Ign came right out and said they never played more than 15 hours of it on ps3 because Bethesda sent out ps3 copies way later than xbox. Anyone else think that skryim has had one of the most dishonest release methods ever put off?
The officail playstation magazine UK gave the game a 7/10. GOOD FOR THEM. They didnt review skyrim in general regardless of platform and assume it would all be patched up. They reviewed Skyrim for Playstation 3 exactly the way it was at the time they played it.Now they are not worried about whether it gets patched or not because their original score reflected how it played when they reviewed it. Which is how I played it when I bought it.
