Finally taken Skyrim out of my Xbox...

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:13 pm

Skyrim to me is the best game ever, Even with it's problems because they make it funny but after having multiple character saves and packed in over 500 hours, I've finally became bored of it. I've now resulted (God help me) to MW3 which surprisingly I'm enjoying for a change because i haven't played it for months.

I think Bethesda needs to consider releasing DLC soon for console users, Seeing as PC will have the creation kit soon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02EMXrll0XI&feature=plcp&context=C36a2903UDOEgsToPDskJd8VqlEMbsb7bZ4da8hdV5

I will happily pick this game back up when there is something new to experience. Until then, my Battlemage will take off his armor. Put down his sword, and have some much needed six with his whiterun wife.

Don't worry, you xbox lot get DLC a month early, which does kinda offset the CK a little =P

To release a DLC, they actually need to make one... Besides, Creation Kit+bugfixes are much more important. Let Bethsda focus on that for a few more months and then they can consider making a DLC or two.

I've actually been cycling between Skyrim and BF3. I'll spend 30 mins to an hour on one and then switch. I really wish my Xbox had a cd changer in it :(

On another note you should really try out BF. I won't get into the reasons why here, you'll just have to trust me.

Kingdoms of Amalur comes out next week, and the ongoing reviews are very positive. AND they are reviewing it on the PS3! (IGN)

Looking forward to Kingdoms of Amalur, so will probably stop with Skyrim for a year or so, like i did with Oblivion. apart from SI, i didn't bother with any other DLC, so unless they release a full expansion and not just some skanky DLC, I might not even get back to Skyrim.

DLC is the biggest rip off in modern gaming and I've not played a single piece of DLC that has been value for money. This is even more glaringly obvious when you consider what you paid for the content in the full game compared to the content you get when purchasing DLC.

For example, 300 points for a stronghold. using those maths, that would mean Oblivion itself would come out somewhere in the region of £1000

500 hours since Novemeber? i personally think thats alot i have had the game for about 2months now and still only have 64 hours played, i realise everyone plays at different rates and speeds but i think since the Novemember release to generally rack up 500hours is a hell of alot of game time.

Like i said im not judging you thats my opinion and my bottom line here is youve probably played it non-stop since you got it? (i imagine?) and whatever game you buy and spend that amount of time on will get very boring very quickly to me TES has always been about the exploration and stumbling upon those random things beth is so, so good at also there's no need ot focus on levels in single player games i think these days too many people try to rush things to ''get it done'' probably a competitive thing?

just thinking out loud really. anywho its a shame your on Xbox i bought an Xbox exclusivley for oblivion then i didnt like it so i sent them both back after a month or two i think, mainly i was used to modding with MW so not having that ablility really played on my mind the amount of content you get from mods is insane your'd benifit i think from playing on PC.

as for kingdoms of Amalur or w/e i really think it looks abit svcky, i wont judge it until i have ago but it looks too gimicky and old-school for me kinda reminds me of Diablo II's look albeit updated ofcourse and i cant imagine anyone other than blizz could pull off that type of veiw/combat in such a smooth manner.

Torchlight had cartoony graphics and that was awesome. if i want realistic, gritty graphics, i have umpteen other games that fill that void.

never liked torchlight , it was a fairly decent game , i just always found it better to just play Diablo 2 again , the same but much much better.

Thats a lot of hours OP , you certainly got your money's worth :)

Surprising really because i have a full time job aswell :P That 500 hours is over 5 different character saves also so in fairness its about 200 hours for my main save. I'll be on and off it but i just fancy a bit of a change atm.

Those cartoony graphics are a plus, in one sense. There's a reason why blizzard does it - it can run on many low end platforms. Which means, more customers. If you get a stylized, unique look to your art, you can make up for lower end graphics.

I personally prefer it. I don't like realism if you can't actually accomplish it. Skyrim looks pretty good, as far as environments and monsters go. But realism takes a downturn with some people. Nord males look terrible imo. Not real. Just terrible. The actual characters that look good are the stylized ones.. the beast races, the redguards and elves, most of the females (including Nords).

Sorry i didnt explain myself i dont mind cartoony graphics i love any game that has good gameplay hell i still play mario world from the snes days lol and shinobi from the megadrive and cube from the Omega, ony my phone obviously though :P .

i like anygame with good gameplay basically i meant for me Kingdoms doesnt look that good in that regard like i said though i wont judge it until/if i have a go as looks can be decieving :D

and actually as Korr said i personally prefer cartoony graphics, i cant imagine TES going that way but i do much prefer it for numerious amounts of reasons.

Surprising really because i have a full time job aswell  That 500 hours is over 5 different character saves also so in fairness its about 200 hours for my main save. I'll be on and off it but i just fancy a bit of a change atm.

hehe ^^ tbh if i didnt do as much photography as my other hobby i'd probably be racking up just as much :P
