Quest Difficulty?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 1:13 pm

Hi,

OK. I've been going from town to town, getting quests and trying to complete them, and pretty much failing. A recent example is Laid to Rest, where I
Spoiler
killed the vampire fine, but couldn't kill Alva
. I'm heading off to Winterhold to join the Mage College, but am worried that those quests will be too tough for me too.

Is there any way to tell how difficult a quest is? Also, Is it true that quests closer to home (Riften) will be easier than quests further away?

Thanks.

You can't tell how difficult a quest is before starting and you can get easy or hard quests anywhere in the world.

There is always the difficulty slider if you are being overwhelmed.

"One of our goals was 'What if Apple made a fantasy game? How would this look?'"

Everywhere would be plain white and everything would be strictly controlled, certainly no mods allowed!

How about my other question about are quests closer to home easier than those further away.

Cheers.

Just give yourself a bit of time to get used to the game and make a character that works for you.

Well where is home? I mean your not from Skyrim, you start in Helgen that is destroyed by a Dragon. Generally any bounty quest is going to be easier then one where you have to go through a large dungeon to meet your objective.

OK, not home then, first town/city - i.e. Riften

Cheers.

I think you mean Riverwood. The quests you get there are undoubtedly easier than ones you can get elsewhere but that is because it's still kind of a tutorial area. There are easy and hard quests in any city.
