When that woman(cant remember her name) tell me who to see for training in the difrent schools I cant rember there names(i svck at rembering names) who should I see to learn alteration?

I think that is Tolfdir.

He's usually found with the studets in the hall of attainment, but he tends to wander.
I literally go around casting detect life just to find people in the college, as finding people there is rediculous.

I think after Melverine or whats her name gives you the tour, Tolfdir is to be found not far from where the tour ends. Otherwise, try the Hall of Attainment.

For the first few Mage Guild quests, he is down at the bottom of Saarthal. Kind of a slog.

If he haven't met Tolfdir yet, there is no way Tolfdir is in Saarthal.

Thanks i finaly found him, through me off as when i first met him hes been rambeling about wards which is restoration, but alas hes the alteration specialist lol.
