Courage spell doesnt work with my zombies?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:51 pm

Can not find an answer on the net so i need to ask,

I'm using Reanimated Corpse on bandits and making it my zombie, and i thought it would be nice if i could use Rally spell from illusion (which is a higher level of Courage) on my zombie thinking it would give its benefits of extra health and stamina... BUT when ever i try this it says my "Bandit has resisted Rally"

Why would Bethesda not allow this? Also is it only because Rally is a low level illusion spell and will it work if i try and use Call to Arms on my zombie?

Zombies don't get scared?

They wouldn't need courage or rallying if they have nothing to fear. They're already dead you know.

Isn't it noted that those spells do not work on the undead?

Unless you have the relevant perk

Illusion spells do not affect undead (including your reanimated ones) unless you have the perk Master of the mind which requires a skill of 90.

I had forgotten about that. ( the perils of growing old) Funny thing is... Most of my chars are masters of Illusion. I just have never used those particular spells.
