Dovakiin and the humble follower

Hey there, forum. So I just feel like posting this for the adventurers' of Skyrim opinion. As of yesterday, I've been rockin' the typical Dragonborn outfit (as you can see in the background there). I've been looking for a more typical look to actually match the lore of the game. I, for one, think the daedric armor is bad to the ass but I kinda felt out of place... a lot. My girlfriend said the dragonborn armor was hot because it shows arms ( ), so I gave it a shot. On master difficulty and the armor upgraded to the best of my abilities, I'm actually handling myself rather well. Now I friggin' love the outfit and always wanna have that outfit on.

So now this hunt to look more generic falls upon my follower. My follower is the famous archer/hunter, Aela. So like, she's running around with barely anything on (Forsworn) which looks cool and kinda fits her (as she is a huntress), but it doesn't seem typical. When a meeting is held and there are different people of Skyrim around, she seems out of place. So i have decided to give take away her daedric dagger and forsworn bow and armor and give her the Bow of the Hunt and hide armor. The random hunters in the wilderness wear hide armor so it seems appropiate. I can get her to wear it through upgrading so she'll wear it over her ancient nord armor.

So yeah, this is how I will travel the land. A couple of generic properly-placed adventurers in the land of Skyrim. So, forum... how do you journey the land? Do you wear the more fantasy looking armor to stand out solo or do it with a friend (or sellsword)? Or do you get a unique armor while your follower looks typical? Or like me, do you want the both of you to fit the setting?

I choose armor based on practicality. Now, on my first character, who is a true Daughter of Skyrim, I went first traditional (Scale Armor), but then once my smithing was at 100, I made her a set of Dragonscale armor and her husband Vorstag is wearing the Dragonbone armor. They are looking good, my Nord Dragon Hunters! :D Come to think of it, Vorstage exchanged his Dragonbone armor for a full Daedric Set (each piece is double enchanted). Hey, I have to look out for my tank LOL

My other characters are wearing either Ancient Assassin Armor, Nightingale Armor or Glass Armor.

I do role play, however, I look first to protection, then looks. My current follower, Illia, is wearing a Master Robe of Destruction, plus Leather boots (Muffled) and a leather helmet (fortified with Magicka). Now, that might not look very mage-like, but at least it gives here some protection. lol
