I know there are mods to make it so you can actually kill the commanders at the enemy factions field-camps. I'm just wary of using one. Was it just an oversight to make/leave them essential? And if so, why hasn't it been fixed in a patch yet? Its not exactly difficult.
I'm just concerned that they are that way for a reason, and that we might need them for a DLC.
I don't want to mess up my long-term roleplaying saves by killing them if it turns out they were left that way for a reason. =S
I either need reassurance or thoughts, one way or the other.
