I would like to make a character with dual wield swords and I was wondering what are some skills that go good with that. I already want heavy armor and smithing. What else works well?

After my first char, I have yet to invest in any armor skill. Especially a DW char. As long as you pump Health you are going to be fine. You will be dealing so much damage so fast, armor perks are a non issue. Use those perk points for others or just bank them for late game. I have DW characters at level 60 with 18 perk points unused.

As far as other skills...It really depends on the type of character you are playing.
Magic? No magic? Stealth?
Sneak and Illusion work well with DW. Sneak is not just for daggers. Take 5/5 in stealth, stop on the left side with Muffle and stop on the right with swords. Plus it has good synergy with Illusion.

As long as you pump health, any set of skills can be an option.
