So many people who say that only the graphics and the combat improved in Skyrim compared to Morrowind and that the bigger world isn't what they wanted.
Let me just say, I like Skyrim, but I also liked Morrowind and I can totally understand people who call it their favorite game.
Here's the idea: How about we modders join forces and recreate Morrowind in Skyrim. As we already discovered, the Vvardenfell and Solstheim landmasses are already included in Skyrim.
So, what we would be doing is basically, "overlaying" the Skyrim-Vvardenfell with the Morrowind-Vvardenfell and replacing the Morrowind objects with their Skyrim counterparts. Of course, there might be a lot of objects that would require to be re-done, like the nature and the cities, but a lot of stuff could simply be included by looking at the map and determining "what goes where".
There's also a lip snyching tool now in the Creation Kit, so we could use original Morrowind soundfiles and have the Kit matching the mouthes.
The real work should be the scripting and rebuilding the environment. There'd be a [censored]ton of interactions to program and many, many characters to recreate, but I think it might just work, if only enough modders take part in it.
After all, look what has been done with Nehrim, and that was with the Oblivion-CK and the team was considerably smaller than the active modders around here.
Do you think it could be done?
