Things for a mage to do...

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 1:55 pm

When i played oblivion i completed all quest lines using 1 and only 1 character, thieves guild, dark brotherhood, mage and fighters guild.

Currently on my first playthrough of skyrim and i'm planning on seperate play tnroughs and characters for the differeent quests. About done with the college quests as a conjurer and planning on starting a new charater soon. Before doing that was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for interesting quests to do with a mage build?

On another note i'm torn between making a nord warrior specialising in 2 handed and heavy armour or a bosmer sneak specialist next time...

What would you choose and why?

Mages can do the bards college... all of 4 "find this" quests but it's at least fun to talk to the bards. If you're a shadowy mage type go for DB or Thieves. And of course main quest.

I'm planing some additional runs. Breton 2H light armor berserker is going to be the most fun though. Well except my Altmer battlemage in robes. Gonna have to work out how to make Mage Armor worth it... Dragonhide is so OP why doesn't it stack :(

The only quests I didn't do on my mage were things I considered to be evil, or things that seemed specific to another class. My mage character is basically good so I left off the thieves guild, dark brotherhood, and anything that required human sacrifice. No stealing quests or anything that harmed someone innocent for no good reason. That left quite a bit to do for my current Thief/assassin character. There were a few other things that seemed specific to the warrior class too.

Sneaks and warriors are both fun. Try each for a couple of hours to get a feel for them? Personally I'd recomend a 1h + shield warrior, as 2h warriors and sneaks kill a lot faster, so fights didn't feel as epic to me.
