A question for console players RE: Controller feedback

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 5:23 am

Well, anyone is free to answer, but I'm not sure if 360 PC controllers work similar to their console counterparts or if this event is noticeable without having some sort of rumble feature.

Anyhoo, on to my question - Does anyone get feedback similar to how it feels when the greybeards call you, or when a dragon appears when there's absolutely no reason to get the feedback?

Something I've noticed recently, and it always happens when I'm out exploring in The Reach (may happen elsewhere, i dunno), is massive earth tremors. Anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

i just want to know what they are.

Are you sure it's not a dragon nearby?

Not that I recall. If it did I'd just figured that I was on the outer edge of a dragon's patrolling area. My "a" button needs an extra tapping or two during dialogue exchanges but that's about it... which has nothing to do with the topic.

there is no dragons, I've not been to whiterun at all. Clear sky, no other noises and anything else that comes along with a passive dragon encounter.

nope... no random rumbles.

Giants & Mammoths cause a bit of rumble too.... maybe them?

Not really had this rumble for no reason, that I have noticed anyway,

If I get the rumble I usually take for granted its a dragon look for it and If i dont see one anywhere I take it as the greybeards calling me.

nah, i have Aura Whisper and there wasn't any life forms around. Giants have a pretty distinctive noise too. Controller works fine so no problems there either.

Mammoths shake the ground even at a distance.

I tend to turn off Rumble as it just seems to be an artificial annoyance while gaming.

For sure, on the PC, turn off Rumble (and the controller) and your menus will respond better to the mouse, if you use Keyboard/Mouse

iv heard other people get random quakes in the reach, so it might not be a glitch or something

I said earlier i had aura whisper, i haven't, I've got detect life as i haven't been to Whiterun, so i know it's not a dragon. Can't rule out a mammoth, however, it just seems too powerful a quake to be a passing mammoth. only lasts about 2 seconds, if that.
