Miner gripe (get it!?)

MUST I watch myself pick at a ore vein 9 times every time I want a piece of iron ore? Ugh! Is there no shortcut out of it without "quitting"

No, you could just swing an axe at it.

Not a big fan of having to watch myself chop wood either.

Well, That's part of the immersion, I think. Although, I think it would be nice to have the option of not completely depleting the ore vein. I spend a lot of time mining. I think it's good to have to go through the motions. But it's similar to the debate about fast traveling or not. How real do you want the game to feel. If you want iron ore quickly I think just buying it is simpler and faster.

Nah it be too easy to get loads then and make it pointlessly easy and they may as well supply you with a bucket load of ores. A slightly quicker way is if you have 2 pickaxes and just keep hitting it manually.

Equip pickaxe as weapon > Hit ore vein > Get ore quick.

I could get on board with that...at least then it's interactive. That really works?

I am

You can just swing an axe at it. But you don't get the gems for that, though.

Sweet! Learn something new every day (no need for gems...already too much to sell, anyway)

If you move the direction stick whilst mining you will exit.

and what the hell.... you can swing at the ore by using the axe as a weapon and you will mine ore??!!! I certainly did not know that.
