Imagine the possibilities of combining spells

Think about it. if we get that spell combining thing we could go crazy. like flames+fear=fury

calm+flames=fear[?]

firebolt+steadfast ward=flame cloak

what are some other combo's that would be cool to try?

The way it was done in the video seemed kind of.... pointless, I guess. By giving you the ability to summon creatures with spells not from Conjuration, it's taking away the usefulness of Conjuration. Same with all of the examples you listed. IMO, nothing should be added that takes away usefulness from something else. If you could combine two spells and get a totally new result that you couldn't get from any of the other magic schools, then I would be happy.

Well, it would sort of defeat the purpose of combining effects if you only create a regular ol' effect that you can achieve through a *single* spell, wouldn't it?

I love the principle at work here, though. If we can get some unique or powerful effects through combos, it would make spellcasting a little more innovative, sort of making up for the lack of spellmaking.

It would be great if spellcasting and combining effects were a bit like alchemy - experimental, somewhat unpredictable.
