Where is 1.4?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 11:14 pm

Been away from these forums for a while . . . Haven't played Skyrim in over a month now because I'm waiting for Bethesda to finish it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't 1.4 due out in January? We are now past the first week of Feb and I can't see anything in the stickies alluding to the release of this highly anticipated (by me, at least) patch.

My original character (42nd Level Altmer Mage) has about 5 or 6 quests sitting in his "journal" (for want of a better word) that cannot be completed. I'm not going back to Skyrim until I know all the quests work properly.

If anyone knows anything about this please let me know!

Keep in mind that most fixes just keep the bugs from happing. Bugs already in save files may not be fixed.

Does it just show up for update when you put the game in the console? I don't that happened when 1.3 came out for me.

I was afraid of that . . . Well I guess I could start yet ANOTHER character, at least this time I'll know that the quests can be completed even if I pick a quest essential item up too soon.

The pertinent thread to check is the very first one at the top of the page of General Discussion stuff. The pertinent post within that thread will be near the bottom. There is mention of the xbox and ps3 patch going out but I believe they leave off with a promise to update the forum when they hear back from Sony about the patch going out. Anyways, that's where to look. The first sticky.

Try it, not all saves have the data values that stop quest progression. After you load the save, make a new save slot, exit the game, Then, restart the game and load that save. Wait 73 in game hours after loading your save, then play on. Reason for all this is the first 72 hours after a game patch, all the scripts are reset and it takes that long for some things to settle down and for other things to happen.

Some say for the PS-3 to reinstall the game for best results.

The Sony Patch is out, has been for hours. It is doing quite well for most people. Some peoples saves were maybe just to corrupted.

Or, they did not follow my above advice...

When you say wait 73 in game hours, at the risk of sounding dumb you do mean use the wait system to fast forward 73 hours correct, not actually leave it idle for 3 days.
