Completely Noob Merchant Question! No Mocking Allowed!

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 11:52 pm

Sorry, Skyrim Veterans, for the 100% Noobitude of the following question.

I bought the game on 11.11.11, but, reading about bugs etc., I was patient & didn't insert the disc into the drive until after patch 1.4.

Now I'm just into the game's open world, trying to sell my Imperial loot for something more Nordish looking.

Anyhow, the question is this: is there any way to know if the weapon I'm about to buy is one-handed or two-handed, aside from the picture & the weapon's (vague) name?

Am I missing something obvious, some way to cue up a weapon description, or am I just missing a brain?

Thanks in advance ...

If the picture is diagonal, it's 2 handed. If the picture is straight vertical, it is one handed.

Aside from that and the name, not really no.

Sword/War Axe/Mace/Dagger/Staff = 1-handed

Greatsword/Battleaxe/Warhammer/Bow = 2-handed

Other than what Badprenup said, no, there's no other way to know in-game.
