With the "Extra Effect" perk can you ad enchants to a daedric weapon like Volendrung or you can only put two enchants on regular weapons? I've just got the black star and I'm thinking about adding a soul trap enchantment on it later on.

The extra effect perk will allow you to have 2 effects on a weapon you enchant. BUT you cannot further enchant a weapon that already contains an enchantment. You can only use the ability on a "blank" weapon- i.e. one with no enchants.

so- no you can't further enchant Volendrung, because it is already enchanted.

you can't add enchantments to an already enchanted weapon, but you can take a plain one and put two enchantments on it

If it has a charge and is rechargeable you cannot add a new enchantment to it. Some weapons have no charge and not rechargeable, those can get enchanted and have up to 3 effects. Examples are Sliver weapons and Wuuthrad.

I haven't done much enchanting yet in this game but I'm pretty sure you can not enchant an allready enchanted item.

You can only add a second enchantment during the process of creating the first enchantment, so no, you can't add an enchantment to an already enchanted item.

Only when creating an item at the moment, you unfortunatley cant add an enchantment to an already enchanted item :/

Unfortunately, you must put both enchantments on at the same time. However, you only need 1 soul gem for both!

I have a quick question about enchanting so I'll just pop it in here if thats OK.

What is the absolute max fire/shock/frost spell you can enchant onto a weapon if the character has enchant at 100 and all perks? BUT without overpowered exploits and alchemy.

EDIT- I don't mean fire/shock/frost together as that would be impossible, just the one effect.
