Thalmor base ?

The Thalmor seam to be the big bad if your not playing a Elf. So maybe I missed it but where do they have their base. The High Elfes are from a island lore wise would that be where their power is too? If we get a Thalmor war DLC will we end up on the homeland of the High Elfes ? They seam to have brought most of the world under their control and Skyrim and Talos seam to be the only ones standing up to fight them. Seams to me a great place to start a big DLC.

yeah....the only problem what is the storyline? and plz don't say: "the Stormcloaks or the Empire will invade it" because frankly it's pointless if you haven't done the civil war quest and if you haven't notice things aren't looking up in the world of Tamriel so no invasion storyline

They have one thalmor dungeon, (specifically, a small fort) and a Thalmor Embassy you inflitrate during the main quest, but other than that, they have no real holds. I really thought this was disappointing, considering the Thalmor are supposed to be an ominous danger to the saftey and protection of Skyrim, but they come accross as a minor and unimportant faction. Dlc could fix this.

Both seam to hate them? The Empire just pvssyed out and signed a peace deal that the Nords won't abide by with out fight. It was thier god they want gone. Seams right it would be the Nords to re start the war.

a DLC for summer set isles would be terrible, that is a province you know, not some small island anywhere near skyrim

I think of it like Egland at one point they ruled 3/4s of the world and lost it. Also that's what am asking lore wise where would the war start if not in Skyrim where would we hit them?

Summerset Isles is on the other side of Tamriel from Skyrim, and in previous games, the dlc and expansions were areas that your character could walk to and start at any time.

It would make sense for the situation with the Thalmor to be resolved somehow through an expansion, as it's unlikely that they'll return, or least be anyone significant in the next Elder Scrolls game.
