What do you guys think of this Skyrim-Altmer backstory?

Since I like to plan out my character's beforehand so that I can appropriately make decisions based on their motivations in the world, I came up with this for my new High Elf

These are just some cliff-notes I came up with before I really put my mind to work in creating a succinct back-story.

Name: Aldmaerius Voidreaver
Class: Chaos Mage/Voidblade

- Born to Altmer royalty on the Summerset Isles.
- Influenced from a young age by his elders to believe in Altmer superiority.
- Intense hatred of Nords, Imperials and Redguards.
- Gained notoriety in the events leading up to and following the Aldmeri conflict.
- Deposed his Father's political office after slaying his father in single combat (not adamant or strict enough on Thalmor doctrine) and re-built it in his shadow, this carefully selected group would eventually rise to be one of those most respected and feared sub-sections of the Thalmor.
- Given a high-ranking position amongst the Thalmor for acts of extreme cruelty and zeal against the Empire and their supporters, blended with unprecedented strategical genius during the Great War.
- Although mastering the Arcane Arts was always his first priority, he is extremely deadly with a sword. Prefers weapons conjured from the void as opposed to his old elven steel.
- When the White-Gold Concordat was signed and the war was presumed over, he was to be handed over with the rest of his office as a bargaining chip to the Empire, to be put on trial and executed for war crimes.
- The leaders of the Thalmor agreed to hand him over to the Empire based on a few key events that were unsanctioned, but succesful strikes against the Empire that were considered "ill done" and although they proved successful, the Thalmor see this more of a reason to inflict their will against the Empire.
- Almost executed with the rest of his men before being switched with an Altmer of low-birth (who was then all illusioned out to look like him) and smuggled out of Cyrodiil by Thalmor agents still loyal to him on the day of his execution.
- Caught in the middle of a Stormcloak ambush while crossing the border into Skyrim, barely escaped.
- Now in Skyrim, unsure of where his future lies now that the Empire and Thalmor either assume him dead, or saw through the imposter's guise and are now hunting him.
- Desperate for any position of power, he figures the College of Winterhold might prove a suitable start for him to re-build his power-base.

Decent or meh, cliche? My one issue with it is that I don't think the Thalmor would ever give up one of their own but eh, I like the idea.

Yeah, and the thing is..he really was a nasty bastard his whole life and believed in Thalmor doctrine more than most, so what does he do now? Stockholm Syndrome, maybe he'll seek out the Embassy. They'd just kill him though and deliver to Solitude.

Sounds like he should travel through Skyrim and discover different factions and find one that will make him alter his beliefs. The College maybe?

Maybe, sounds noble..at this point though I like to think of him, more or less, as one of those Nazis who escaped The Nuremberg Trials and is now living in a hut in Mexico? Something like that. Maybe leading unsuspecting Nords to caves to fulfill his wicked desires?

Sounds plausible. But what will he actually do? Can't sit in a hut for the rest of his life

That just sounds like some weird sixual fetish

I would imagine that it would get old in the long run. Sounds to me like he's searching for a purpose with his life. A place where he belongs if you get my drift.

I dunno, man. Perhaps I'll just go find a ruined tower with a bed to live in..maybe close to Windhelm so I can raid it occasionally with my Dremora Lords.

I'm doing something very similar to this...but I'm stumped at one part. What is he doing now? Is he going to try to work for the Thalmor again? Will he still have morals from the Dominion?(Such as hating of Nords and killing Stormcloaks/Imperials).

I think he should develop a distrust of the Thalmor. Given the betrayal...

Yeah, you can't really do anything for them anyway aside from the Talos-worshipper in Markarth. I think now he's just out for self and trying to establish his own power.
