Killable Questline Characters

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:25 pm

What would everyone think about having questline characters become killable? But only after theyre requirements to the story are fulfilled. Seems like it could be easy to do development wise. It will add to the experience of creating your own story after youre done with theirs. Allowing you post story revenges or what have you.

i definately want this. i ran into vilgas and some other useless [censored] outside of winterhold and somehow he turned hostile (maybe my flame atronach hit him trying for the wolf). now im in a fight with someone i cant kill and my stupid follower wont stop fighting him and run away fast enough before he gets back up again and starts chasing. being my second playthrough and having absolutely NO interest in the companions as a mage i would rather have left him in a ditch and been done with it. NO ONE IS ESSENTIAL IN A VIDEO GAME.

edit: and kids too whats the friggin deal? they are some of the worst propegators of repetative annoying dialog in the game (merchants aside)

noone should be essential. ever. i coudl understand guilds and the main quest (bethesda likes to play it safe for some stupid reason) but i would even dislike it if it was limited to those few NPCs

in good old Gothic 2 you could kill everyone, then if they were essentials you could use a resurrection spell, simple
