Hi Guys can someone help me?

I'm really in a fix. I am stuck in the solitude embassy party. After distracting the party with the drunk. I am now in the area past the pantry/kitchen.
Although I met up with the guy I needed to give the weapons to- none was in the ches, where it should have been.

I clearly remember selecting here take this stuff on my PS3 console! Maybe I needed to select the actual items somehow?
In any case no I cant kill the gaurds near the bar and I cant perfrom fury (since I havnt learnt it yet), so that throws stealth out the window

Do I need to start from scratch all over again? Also how/where do I download the patches to prevent other glitches?

Yes you actually have to select the weapons, armor & potions. If your PS3 is connected to the net it will give you the option to download latest patch when you load the game up. You should be able to continue the quest as you still have magic but if its at a low level it will be hard!
