Is this madness?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:18 pm

I've stuck to a single toon so far. Typical two handed Nord barbarian, two-handed weapons, heavy armor, smithing, blocking, health and stamina, little to no attention paid to sneak, one-handed, or archery. I'm still working my way through the quests this character plays to, ie. main, companions, and civilwar, but lately I'm getting the itch to play the dark brotherhood quest. The original plan was to do so with a new toon, but lately I've become enthralled with the idea of taking my existing character down a darker road. So the question before you is this, "Is there room in Skyrim for a 2 handed axe (or maybe hammer) wielding assassin?

This is blasphemy! This is madness!

jks, but really, you don't need to be sneaky to do the dark brotherhood quests. You'll just have to pay off a bounty everytime you do an assassination in public, because sneak really only helps you get away once you kill someone. Besides that, you could go about the dark brotherhood quests busting into a room and killing all enemies like a true warrior.

Pay a bounty or kill everyone in sight, such an easy decision to make.

No, this is Skyrim. Get it right.

Anyways, I see no reason why a 2-handed assassin wouldn't work in Skyrim. It's not like you have to be stealthy or anything. You might have to pay a fine, though.

Yes that sounds cool. I am going to be a warrior assassin with my current character.
Doing Dark brotherhood quest and use beast form.

The beast is very fragile. I just use him for travel. As you would render hostile every one who sees him, which is everyone, he is not stealthy at all and as you would have to fight the guards, who as many have said accept bribes, it's not a useful plan.

If you think about their priorities, they are very different, the Companions go on about honour, and the Dark Brotherhood are concerned with not being caught, plus a bit of religious mumbo jumbo, but what they do, it's the same, killing for some kind of profit.
