I was doin another side mission to return the thieves guild to their former glory. I got caught pickpocketing but the person attacked was the person i was pickpocketing, because of her main character status she couldn't die but she stayed in a cowering position and i couldn't pickpocket her. I went to an inn, slept and then finished the quest. When i went to get my pay they said i was kicked out for messing up, and when i got back in, they treated me like a newcomer again and and the side quests i had at the beggining restarted.

Can anyone explain and/or tell me wats going on and how to fix it?
