Is there a way to remove the map?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 6:26 pm

I’m making this topic in reaction to the one made by under7ow.

First off I don’t like under7ows’s way of responding to the replies.
But I’m a bit surprised by the community’s attitude on this subject. We thought we had finished this in the fast travel debate.

However it’s understandable. Having a game with a bursting amount of options it seems like a rejecting attitude and a spoiled brat’s choice to remove them.
Nevertheless when did the forum go from being more judgmental then helpful of other people’s ways of enjoying the game?

I love the game and its features and I love(d) the map. But I exponentially find myself wanting to make it more challenging for me.
I’m one of the people who downloaded the no fast travel mod, the Equip-able Maps by Scarabmonkey and would love a mod that made it impossible to use the menu map.

I find it taking a lot of the excitement away when the map is always available to you, even if you don’t use it.
Maybe I’m an OCD victim or an Imaginative challenge person, but I have a hard time feeling really distressed when I know it all pretend.
Am I the only one with this?

as I said on the other post, NO you can't remove the map unless you use MODs and you are on the PC.
In that's the case, try ask in the MODs section.

Well is more about the opinion there is on the subject, then the actual mod. I thought I may be a good idea to put up for debate.

This thread is heading in the direction the other one was.

You can either mod the UI on the PC, or learn to not use the map on the other platforms.

Those are your only two choices.
