I just wanted Guild Master Armor

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:03 am

I wanted it so bad. But I come to find out that apparently if you finish the war questline, the debris in Whiterun blocks the entrance to a house, which prevents you from robbing it or for Vex. Sorry if there's already a topic about this, I'm sure other people have had the same problem. Is there no way around this? I'm playing on the 360 so I can't use console commands.
I just want black effing Thieves Guild Armor dammit.

Don't you have to complete each mission for both Vex and Delvin to get Guild Master Armor?

Sorry about the spoilers, I don't think I can edit the title.

It's been a while since I've done the Thieves Guild quest line but can't you just quit that particular mission and then do another one? It should send you somewhere else. I seem to remember quitting lots of jobs to get the last ones in Markarth...

EDIT: Just go to the person who gave it to you and the option to quit should be there.

Is it a special job or just a normal radiant quest?

It it under the Misc grouping in the quest book? If so, you don't need to do it...

It's not in the title. I just haven't played far enough to know what happens after the war guestline so I didn't know anything about changes to whiterun. It's no biggie.

If it's one of Vex's extra jobs, (Burglary Job, Shill Job, Sweep Job, or Heist Job) then you can talk to her again and quit the job. She gets annoyed and you get a failed quest in your list, but you can move on. Also, no. You don't have to do jobs for both Delvin and Vex. Hell, I only did Delvin's Fishing Job (force me to use pickpocket to get the 100 carry weight).

Just quit the job and talk to her again, it will generate a job in another location.
