Post your count of items enchanted to reach level 100

I enchanted 255 iron daggers to reach level 100 in enchanting. Mined and smelted iron ore every time I walked past an ore vein. Kept varying supplies of 15-45 iron daggers in my various homes. Only bought petty soul gems for the first 85 or so levels. Then noticed I had over 100,000 gold septims and started buying lesser soul gems.

Now I'm at level 100 and will spend some skill points to maximize my enchantments. I have purchased or found 7 enchanter's elixir's that will also be used. Haven't spent any time in alchemy so I can't make my own potions.

So, after 148 hours, 255 iron daggers, checking with every one who sells potions. The question is:

What am I going to enchant??

It's been so long and I've found and purchased so many items, I really don't know what to do first!!

How many items has everyone else enchanted? Did you feel rewarded when you reached level 100?

I enchanted a lot of iron daggers, but also necklaces and rings. Jewelry does not weigh much, but fetches a good price with merchants. I assume that gold is not your goal, so I suggest enchanting armor for your follower, or yourself, if you wear armor. It is very rewarding to see your follower equip the armor that you enchanted.

That's a good idea. I have Jordis the Sword-Maiden with me right now. I usually give followers items found on quests. But I could craft and enchant something for her. Maybe archery and two-handed? Or resist frost and shock? Thanks!

Do you not enchant? Or are you not at level 100?

For me, neither. I also don't smith. Level-grinding is tedious and ruins everything for me.

Hah!! It does take a -long- time doesn't it? Just went to enchant some drawven armor for Jordis and all I have available are archery and spells. All this time I was focused on getting to 100 to get double enchantments and now I have to go find items to destroy!

Yea I didn't count as I leveled it along with my other skills. Sure seems like I enchanted thousands of items, although I am sure I am mistaken.

I'm enclined to agree with you. Have skipped alchemy all together. Except for eating items to see what effect they have. I really wanted to put two enchantments on items, and now that I can. I have played so much that I can't decide what to enchant.

Actually, people on the forums say alchemy is structured better. I couldn't say as I avoid all crafts. I will always associate them with level-grinding and dreadful terms such as "uber", "demigod" and "daedric armor".

I found my number in the stats menu. Under magic, I had 256 items, which is one more than the daggers cause earlier I wanted to enchant a weapon to have something for my effort.

That's interesting. I have read that alchemy takes way too long and you only use the more powerful perks. Now I'm thinking the same about enchanting. Double enchantments though, that still sounds worthwhile. Just -too- long to get there.

I dunno, I prefer to be out there adventuring, but that's just me. BTW for all you crafters, I recommend Whiterun as a base as it has everything you need, especially for smithing.
