ES VI Official Thread (Die hard fans GET IN HERE)

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:49 am

IF there is another Elder Scrolls VI thread, I am sorry, but this one is just spit balling for some fans to pass the awful wait for the DLC.

It's getting to that part of the game where I have played all the races that I care to play and I am eagerly waiting for the first DLC to be released... that being said, to keep me entertained, it's time to create some crazy ES VI theories.

My top guess is some long needed reconciliation with the story of the Dwemer. In Morrowind the story of the Dwemer was expansive.. while in Oblivion it kind of took a backseat. Now that it is back with a vengeance, and there is an incredible amount of lore explaining the Dwemer downfall, culture and their legacy. All of the crazy dungeons and architecture has been making me wonder if it's all serving a purpose. I was fascinated with the Dwemer museum and all of the information about the Dwemer I found in the quest for the Thieves guild that sends you looking for a Falmer translation key. I can't take it anymore Bethesda, you HAVE to incorporate the Dwemer in a future game because their lore, story and culture is way too integral in the Skyrim plot and it's driving me nuts thinking about how fun it would be to play as the Dwemer or at least figure out what happened to them.

All of that being said, what are your top theories and suspicions for another game?

All I know is that for the next Elder Scrolls game, the main character is going to have to be either a High Elf,Wood Elf,Orc,Argonian,or Khajiit. Since they have used up all of their human races for their respective provinces and they used Dunmers in Morrowind.

There never was a Dwemer downfall. I think you should check up on the lore. The Dwemer uncreated themselves into their Brass God.

And then there is this little piece of information buried in the wiki's which looks like a ripe sequel.
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Akavir
And the dwemer disappearing off the mortal plain could be considered their downfall since they were losing rather badly to the chimer when it happened.

no, they are not just off mundas, they are still there, iirc, they are just a part of their god (that failed, i might add) and i highly doubt the akavir will be intorduced into TES in the next game (they have ot introduced half of the khajiit and argonian tribes/forms yet, no way they will make totally new races), but i do expect to see at least something extrodinary in the next game (the remains of the crystal tower, the khajiit forms and their vast desert, the argonian tribes and the beautiful swamp, the moving forrests of valenwood, or the warrior culture of the orcs), i hope for the swamps of black marsh personally.

This is what I'm hoping for.

I guess they still have yet to show summerset as well, but where are you getting your info on the dwemer and their disappearance?

Playing Morrowind. Also Imperial Library and UESP are the 2 best TES lore sources.

Obviously -.-

What I meant was what Bethesda "considers" is the main hero.

Just like how you see that Nord guy in the wallpaper of the forums as the Dovahkin? Yeah, that.

The Dwemer got sent out of existence by the gods. For DLC i was hoping The dwemer would return out thin air exactly how they vanished, there race should come back and we should see the Falmer! I want regular snow elves not creepy deformed cave dwellers

Not to stomp on your idea, but I doubt the next one would be there. They have already made mention they want to redo, and touch up the lore..because they find it's getting "confusing." Out of all my friends IRL, none have any idea of the lore other then what few books they've read.
To throw a curveball like that may drop the amount of new fans they've picked up this series.

Not only that, but It's been discussed in previous forums of Bethesdas attemps to wean out the beast races..namely khajiits. (I seriously hope not) The idea they'll even get to Elsweyr and create a few other races seems bleek. (I mean, they couldn't even create a few redguard, and mer kids)

But, regardless.. I'll be happy with anything. Personally, my dream Is to go back to "The Battle of Red Mountain" ahhh....one can dream.
