If Dawn Guard is the title of the DLC

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:54 am

I recently learned that Tamriel means "Dawn's Beauty" this would suggest that one is defending Tamriel, but what from? Could it be a second great war as I would find the easiest to believe, or maybe the beast races of Akavir are invading. What do you think? Personally I think that the high elves should get over themselves and a war from another land would reunite Tamriel, so if the Tiger Dragon Tosh Raka invaded with his armies of Tiger Folk behind him...it'd be epic.

I really don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the dawn era?

I see this being more of something they would do in the next TES, seeing how it kinda hints at war with the thalmor being one of the dlcs. Also i more hope it be a sequal seeing how it would be done better as a full game concept than a 20 hour dlc.

Yeah I just also read that Tosh Raka wants to kill all of the snake people of Akavir, and then wishes to invade Tamriel. Probably more of a sequel than a DLC though

Problem is that source came from an extremely outdated book written by someone who never went to Akavir. Even if Tosh Raka wanted to invade Tamriel he probably won't ever if it took this long to fight the snake folk and probably still doing so...

This is true, but who knows how closely Bethesda pays attention to their own Lore, could be that they say the snake people were wiped out long ago, but they just didn't have a means of traveling to Tamriel

True but the tsacie (snake people) had a means of transportation proved by the 2 times they invaded Tamriel. It is possible that Tosh Raka may could of used those boats or have their own to invade Tamriel. I'm not trying to prove you wrong but i'm just wondering what could take them so long to invade Tamriel.

If Dawnguard is the DLC's name then it is likely going to be about just about anything. It really gives us no clues. We could be defending the light from the darkness rising from the depths(Falmer). We could be at war with the Thalmor as we protect our selves from reverting back to the Dawn Era. We could be visiting a place called Dawnguard that is new, maybe an outlying island. Dawnstar could get invaded by effing Sheogorath controlled Horkers and that is what it is. It really does not narrow anything down at all lol. But it is fun to theorize.

Now that's a DLC I'd beg Bethesda to take my money for!

I thought it could refer to the "Dawn Magicks" that the Thalmor claimed to have used to restore the moons.

LOL It's just a very tenuous rumor out there, based on a patent filing from Zenimax for a software product of that name. Dawnguard, specifically. edit- http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1352213-new-skyrim-dlc-is-probably-called-dawnguard/page__st__120__p__20383936__hl__the%20dawnguard__fromsearch__1#entry20383936 is a link
