Are there any horses that dont act like war horse from hell?

I have been refining my gameplay a lot. However, while horses are good for transportaion, they cross their bounds when i engadge in combat. It breaks the immersion and challenge of combat when i see my stupid horse rush everything from enemies to dragons and begins to tank them. Horses act like they are on PcP. Horses are simply not supposed to be appart of combat. I mean look at when a someone gets off his horse to attack something, the horse is in "standby" mode. That's the way my horse should act.

No, all horses are the same. Shadowmere has more health, so it makes her running after everything a little less OMG HORSE GONNA DIEish.

yeah, well if a horse can fight like that, why do i even need a follower? I might as well start recruiting mudcrabs...

If you're playing on PC, there is a mod that makes horses docile.

Oh my, drugs. PCP is a horse tranquilizer. Actually not used anymore as there are better ones.

I lol'd. Are you on the PC? If so there's a "smarter horse" mod, and an "indestructible horse" mod. They're both awesome.

...don't kill it. It was funny.

This wouldn't be so bad if you could fight on your horse.

it's a well-known game design bug, get a mod to fix it if you on pc.

If it's intentional, I don't think it counts as a bug

This does bother me especially when I'm trying to soul trap stuff. They end up killing my target before my magika has had a chance to restore.

Horses would never attack like that. Only defend and only if trained. A horse`s natural instinct is to run away.

I`m afraid only mods can make Cowardly Horses (which I use), but if you`re on a console, tough luck.
